Jacking Up Front Axle

causym CAUTION: Machine is heavy and can fall or roll causing serious injury or death to you or others. Use a jack with a minimum jacking capability of 13 t (15 tons). Machine must be on a flat, level surface with transmission lever in neutral, parking brake engaged and key removed.

IMPORTANT: Machine damage can occur. Jack up front axle only at designated jacking locations.

1. Position machine on a flat, level surface.

2. Position jack on a solid, flat surface beneath jacking plate (A).

3. Clear all bystanders away from machine, then using jack, raise front axle only enough to change/repair tire.

4. Change/repair tire. Tighten drive tire wheel bolts to specification.

Specification

Drive Tire Wheel Bolts -Torque 610 N·m (450 lb-ft)
Tighten guide wheel bolts to specifications.

Specification

Non-Powered Guide Wheel Bolts -Torque 312 N·m (230 lb-ft)
Tighten power rear axle wheel bolts to specifications.

Specification

Power Rear Axle Wheel Bolts -Torque 407 N·m (300 lb-ft)

5. Lower machine to ground.
