Preparing Engine for Storage
CAUTION:
Gasoline is highly flammable and can cause serious injury or death to you or others if ignited. DO NOT use gasoline as a cleaning agent when preparing engine for storage.
1.
Wash outside of engine thoroughly with a safe solvent.
2.
Clean the air cleaner. See ENGINE AND DRIVE TRAIN SECTION.
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT drain cooling system to protect against freezing. Cab heater does not drain completely, so damage would result.
3.
Drain, flush, and refill cooling system with fresh coolant. Turn heater on and operate engine until it reaches operating temperature.
