Basket Extension

Symptom Problem Solution

Basket extension does not lower completely or binds when lowering.

Screen bolts catching.

Adjust guides on conveyor to center.

Cylinder out of phase and basket crooked.

Use hoist or other mechanical lift to raise basket extension completely and rephase cylinders. See BLEEDING TELESCOPING CYLINDERS in OPERATING THE MACHINE section.

Basket extension crooked.

Raise basket extension and rephase basket cylinders. See BLEEDING TELESCOPING CYLINDERS in OPERATING THE MACHINE section.

Over center latches do not disengage.

Remove quick-lock pin and move corner support over center. Reinstall quick-lock pins to keep latch from re-engaging.

Raise or lower extension to free up.

Friction in sliding area (where conveyor slides in basket).

Grease conveyor sliding guides.

Front lid linkage binding during lowering of basket extension.

Remove front lid linkage during lowering of basket extension.

Basket extension raises or lowers very slowly.

Orifice in control valve plugged.

Remove orifice and clean.

Left-hand front extension locking pin does not engage.

Basket extension raising unevenly.

Use bar and pry holes in front extension by pin.

Cylinder out of phase and basket crooked.

Use hoist or other mechanical lift to raise basket extension completely and rephase cylinders. See BLEEDING TELESCOPING CYLINDER in OPERATING THE MACHINE section.

Symptom Problem Solution

Basket extension raises during transporting.

Internal leakage of control valve.

Pin left-hand front corner when in transport position or replace valve section.

Ducts do not lower properly when lowering the basket extension.

Debris behind duct and cab area.

Clean area behind water tank and cab.

Debris between inner and outer ducts.

Clean.

Duct hangs up on hinged panel on platform.

Pivot panel up before lowering basket extension.

Duct lock-up pins engaged.

Position pins out of holes.
