Filling the Fuel Tank

causym CAUTION: Fuel is highly flammable and can cause serious injury or death to you or others if it spills from fuel tank and is ignited. Do not refuel machine while smoking or when near an open flame or spark. Always stop engine before refueling. Fill fuel tank outdoors. Be sure to replace fuel fill cap and rear screen after filling. Always clean up spilled fuel.

1. If engine has not been operated for a long time, remove the fuel tank plug and allow any accumulated water to drain out. Replace plug.

2. Pull spring-retained rear screen (B) out. Position it to allow access to fuel fill cap (A).

3. Fill tank with proper grade of diesel fuel. See LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE section.
