Cold Weather Operation

IMPORTANT: Damage to hydrostatic pump can occur during extreme cold weather. When cold, hydrostatic transmission oil becomes thick and MUST be warmed before moving picker. Failure to warm oil can result in machine damage. Warm the oil before moving the picker as follows:

1. Before starting the picker, verify hydro lever is in neutral, park brake is engaged, transmission is in neutral, and units and fan switch are disengaged.

2. Start engine and idle at 1200 rpm for 4 minutes.

3. With main transmission still in "neutral", advance hydro lever halfway forward and allow engine to idle at 1200 rpm for another 4 minutes before moving picker.
