Lowering Telescoping Basket

IMPORTANT: If equipped with a basket unload extender, follow steps one through five. If these steps are not followed, damage will result to the machine when lowering telescoping basket.

Outer ducts (A) may require loosening of retaining rings (B) to avoid possible interference with upper ducts.

1. Release hydraulic hose strap (C).

2. (Machine with Basket Dump Extender) Unlatch hook (A) in basket dump extender linkage (front and rear).

3. (Machines with Basket Unload Extender) On front unload extender linkage ONLY, disconnect pin (B) from link (A).

NOTE: Support linkage adequately. Linkage will collapse when pin is removed.

4. (Machines with Basket Unload Extender) Allow link to lay on top of lid link (C).

5. (Machines with Basket Unload Extender) Store pin in original hole.

6. Pull spring pin from front left-hand corner basket latch pin (C) and rotate the handle with the cam action to withdraw the pin. If pin cannot be pulled, extension must be raised slightly to remove the load.

7. Remove quick-lock pins (A) (three locations) from lock-up beams (B). After lock-up beams swing away, reinstall quick-lock pin.

8. Partially lower basket extensions till duct chains can be attached.

9. Attach duct chains to bracket (A) by sliding bolt (B) into slot (C). (Washer MUST be on top of bracket.)

10. Remove any slack in chains by adjusting bolt length.

11. Unlatch the duct support pins (A) (two locations) and rotate so they will not relatch.

12. Fold bottom duct ladder step (A) up.

IMPORTANT: To avoid damage to basket extension and air ducts during the lowering process, make sure extension ducts lower smoothly and evenly. Stop if lowering is uneven and check for binding. Correct and continue lowering extension.

13. Lower basket extension by pressing on lower portion of basket extension switch (A). Continue down until hydraulic cylinders are completely retracted.

NOTE: To raise extension press upper portion of basket extension switch.

IMPORTANT: To avoid damage to machine and prevent extension from raising during transport, always engage latch pin in left-hand front corner of basket.

14. Engage latch pin (B).

15. Disconnect chains (C) from lid linkage frame. Wrap chains around duct support pipe (D) for storage.
