Operating Inspection Bypass System
Be sure park brake is engaged. The unexpected movement of the machine can cause serious injury or death to you or others. If the inspection bypass system does not operate exactly as described below, see your John Deere dealer. 1. Remove unit No.4 front cover.2. Remove tether switch (A) from storage position. Stand clear of units. Never operate inspection bypass while standing on top of row units. Keep thumb free of tether switch. 3. After ensuring solid footing and clearance from moving parts, proceed with bypass operation by depressing tether switch. Slow unit rotation will begin immediately, and continue until the tether switch is released.

Serious injury or death can result if you or others become entangled or are drawn into moving parts of unit. Keep away from all moving parts to prevent injury and death. Always keep inspection bypass cord away from moving parts on picking units.
