Replacing Accessory Drive Belt-Air Conditioning Compressor, Cooling Fan and Alternator

NOTE: Alternator, air conditioner compressor and cooling fan share the same belt. Be sure belt is in good condition.

Accessory drive belt is equipped with an automatic tensioner which DOES NOT require adjustment.

1. To replace accessory drive belt (A), rotate tension arm (B) by placing 1/2 in. breaker bar in tension arm.

2. Remove belt from drive pulley.

3. Relax breaker bar tension and remove belt from alternator, air conditioning compressor and cooling fan pulleys.

4. Disconnect hydraulic pump drive shaft from engine and remove belt.

5. Install new belt. Connect driveshaft to engine.
