causym CAUTION: The units are heavy and, if they fall, serious injury or death to you or others can result. Place safety stops over unit lift cylinder rods when working under units.

1. Mark doffer bearing housing flange (A) and adjusting plate (B) so bearing housing can be installed in the same position. Remove three cap screws from bearing housing flange. DO NOT loosen adjusting plate (outer) bolts, or doffer will have to be realigned.

Remove bearing housing. Remove grease fitting from bearing housing. Clean out grease and refill using John Deere Moly High Temperature (EP) Grease or equivalent. Replace bearing housing in same position as before, with grease fitting hole toward rear of machine. Install grease fitting.

2. Check transmission oil level.

3. Check coolant condition with hydrometer.

4. Disassemble guide wheel bearings and clean parts in solvent. Pack bearings in wheel bearing grease. Reassemble and tighten nut until a slight drag is felt when wheel is turned. Back nut off to insert cotter pin in first hole.

5. Check final drive oil level.

6. Lubricate brake pedal pivots.

7. Remove plastic plug (A) on top of bearing housing. Lubricate unit idler bearing fittings (2 each unit) with 2-3 shots from grease gun.
