Adjusting Inside Scrapers for Single Disk Openers

Use scrapers (A) to prevent dirt buildup in wet or sticky soil conditions and to cut residue. Adjust as follows:

NOTE: Scrapers must follow contour of disk with just enough tension to clean disks. Too much tension will not allow blades to turn. This causes undue wear of scrapers and disk as well as plugging of seed tubes.

1. Loosen wing nut (B) to adjust scrapers in operating position.

2. Tighten wing nut.

3. Loosen wing nut (A) and rotate scraper into storage position (B) when not in use.

4. Tighten wing nut.
