Adjusting Toe Scraper for Single Disk Openers

NOTE: Blade should contact tip (B) lightly with scraper heel (F) lightly touching or up to 2 mm (0.08 in.) away from blade.

Check adjustment by placing hand against inside of blade (C) and pushing toward scraper to simulate soil pressure. To adjust scraper proceed as follows:

NOTE: Installing shim with wide edge (J) UP will move scraper closer to blade; with wide edge DOWN will move scraper away from blade.

2. Install shim (H), on adjusting bolt (D), between boot (E) and support (I) to position scraper within or as close as possible to correct tolerance.

3. If further adjustment is needed, adjust toe scraper (A) by bending to correct position with scraper adjusting tool (G).
