Checking Grain Feeds

1. Raise machine so gauge wheels are not touching ground.

causym CAUTION: Be careful when using diesel fuel so that is does not ignite. Use only in well-ventilated areas away from any sparks or flames.

IMPORTANT: Do not allow diesel fuel (or any other petroleum product) to contact rubber tubes as it causes deterioration.

2. Turn feed shafts in direction (bold arrow) feed shafts normally turn by turning gauge wheel. If shaft turns hard, loosen moving parts with diesel fuel. Check rolling torque of feed shaft. See CHECK ROLLING TORQUE OF FEED SHAFT in Service section.

3. Turn shafts daily, before adding seed. If treated seed is used, turn shaft whenever machine has been standing for an hour or longer.
