Aligning Gang Press Wheels

The press wheels should be aligned with the centerline of the furrow. Align as follows:

2. Lay a straight edge along the right-hand edge of the spring.

3. Move the wheel so both the front and rear make contact with the straight edge.

4. Tighten screws and make certain the U-bolt nuts (B) are tight.

5. For machines with 26, 24 or 14 openers spaced 15 cm (6 in.), or with 18 or 20 openers spaced 19 cm (7.5 in.) apart, pivot bolt is not be centered with the openers. Center the press wheel (C) by loosening the attaching screws and positioning the wheel to run in the centerline of the furrow (D). Tighten screws.
