Depth Bands-Aluminum Boots

Depth bands are available to use with double-disk openers for increased drilling depth control in well-prepared, loose seedbeds. Adjust as follows:

CAUTION: Disk blades are sharp and may cut skin causing serious injury. Wear gloves and use locking pliers to hold blades when tightening or untightening.

1. Remove 5/8 in. jam nut (A) and spring washer (D).

2. Put depth bands (B) over disk blades and install with 5/8 in. jam nut and spring washer with cup toward blade. Tighten jam nut to specification.

3. Attach scraper (E) to double-disk boot with 1/4 x 3-1/2 in. round head bolt (C).
