Unfolding Machine

causym CAUTION: To avoid serious injury or death when folding or unfolding row markers, be aware of overhead wires and KNOW the transport height.

IMPORTANT: To avoid machine damage while unfolding, perform the following:

Drive to level area.

Put tractor in PARK.

DO NOT drive forward or backward.

1. Remove clevis (A) from front lift cylinder (if installed) and place in storage position (B).

2. Remove clevises (A) from rear lift cylinders (if installed) and place in storage position (B).

3. Disengage front latches by pushing latch handles (A) inward.

IMPORTANT: On 7.6 m (25 ft) two unit machine, the wings must be unfolded and then lowered or damage could result.

  • 7.6 m (25 ft) (Two Unit Only)-Unfold wings before lowering to ground.

5. 9. 1 m and 10. 7 m (30 and 35 ft) (Three Unit Machine)-Lower machine to ground before unfolding wings. 6. Adjust feed rates.

7. Adjust depth gauging press wheels, to suit individual field conditions, using down pressure hydraulic valve (A) so gauge needle (C) is in safe (green) zone. Lock in place with locking wheel (B). See ADJUSTING DEPTH GAUGING PRESS WHEELS and ADJUSTING HYDRAULIC DOWN-PRESSURE in this section.

IMPORTANT: Do not operate machine when gauge needle is in red zone or machine damage could result.

8. Engage row markers (if equipped) by pulling selector knob (D) out.
