Bleeding Telescoping Cylinders
IMPORTANT:
Bleeding of the telescoping cylinders can only be accomplished when the cylinders are allowed to reach full extension of the piston rod.
1.
Completely raise basket extension.
2.
Loosen bleed screw (A) at top of rear cylinder 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
3.
Start engine and operate at idle.
4.
Slowly extend the telescoping cylinders using basket extension switch (B).
NOTE:
An assistant is needed to observe oil flow during bleeding.
5.
Hold switch down until cylinders are fully extended. Continue holding this position until assistant sees solid flow of oil (without bubbles) coming from bleed screw.
6.
Tighten bleed screw.
7.
Repeat procedure to duct support lift cylinder.
