CCU Diagnostic Codes

Diagnostic error codes are supplied to detect malfunctions in 9996 Cotton Picker electrical system.

NOTE: Error codes will only display if machine has not been shut off since error occurred.

When error is detected, an error number will display on tachometer. If more than one error is detected, each number will display for 6 seconds and then next error number(s) will be displayed.

Code 120 -CCD communication bus failure. Communication between CCU and tachometer has been lost.

NOTE: It is normal for "120E" to be displayed when entering or leaving ROW-TRAK Calibration mode. This happens because communication to tachometer is lost when switching bus control back and forth between CCU and ROW-TRAK controller.

Code 150 -"Unit 1" light circuit open. Circuit is tested several times per second for an "open" or a burnt out light only when commanded to be OFF.

Code 151 -"Unit 2" light circuit open. Circuit is tested several times per second for an "open" or a burnt out light only when commanded to be OFF.

Code 152 -"Unit 3" light circuit open. Circuit is tested several times per second for an "open" or a burnt out light only when commanded to be OFF.

Code 153 -"Unit 4" light circuit open. Circuit is tested several times per second for an "open" or a burnt out light only when commanded to be OFF.

Code 154 -"Unit 5" light circuit open. Circuit is tested several times per second for an "open" or a burnt out light only when commanded to be OFF.

Code 155 -"Unit 6" light circuit open. Circuit is tested several times per second for an "open" or a burnt out light only when commanded to be OFF.

Code 156 -Tachometer improper programmed. Either wrong machine type (should be either 006 or 026); or wrong machine code (should be 004) has been programmed in tachometer.

Code 157 -CCU communication error with tachometer on start-up.

Code 158 -An attempt was made to engage row units while hydro lever was out of neutral.

Code 159 -"Unit 1" light circuit shorted. Circuit is tested several times per second for a "shorted" light only when commanded to be ON.

Code 160 -"Unit 2" light circuit shorted. Circuit is tested several times per second for a "shorted" light only when commanded to be ON.

Code 161 -"Unit 3" light circuit shorted. Circuit is tested several times per second for a "shorted" light only when commanded to be ON.

Code 162 -"Unit 4" light circuit shorted. Circuit is tested several times per second for a "shorted" light only when commanded to be ON.

Code 163 -"Unit 5" light circuit shorted. Circuit is tested several times per second for a "shorted" light only when commanded to be ON.

Code 164 -"Unit 6" light circuit shorted. Circuit is tested several times per second for a "shorted" light only when commanded to be ON.

Code 165 -Cotton fan speed is below 3700 rpm for 4 seconds when engine speed is above 2000 rpm.

Code 166 -Fan Clutch Relay circuit is open. Circuit is tested several times per second for an "open" circuit. This is done only when commanded to be OFF.

Code 167 -"PARK BRAKE RELAY" relay circuit is open. Circuit is tested several times per second for an "open" circuit. This is done only when commanded to be OFF.

Code 169 -Hydraulic Valve Power relay circuit is open. Circuit is tested several times per second for an "open" circuit. This is done only when commanded to be OFF.

Code 170 -Faulty communications with CDT5, park brake logic ignored. (Park brake will continue to operate)

Code 173 -Fan Clutch relay circuit is "shorted". Circuit is tested several times per second for a "shorted" circuit. This is done only when commanded to be ON.

Code 174 -"PARK BRAKE RELAY" relay circuit is "shorted". Circuit is tested several times per second for a "shorted" circuit. This is done only when commanded to be ON.

Code 176 -Hydraulic Control relay circuit is "shorted". Circuit is tested several times per second for a "shorted" circuit. This is done only when commanded to be ON.

Code 177 -"UNIT ENGAGE" relay circuit is "shorted". Circuit is tested several times per second for a

"shorted" circuit. This is done only when commanded to be ON.

Code 180 -Throttle lever position error. Engine speed must be below 1000 rpm before engaging cotton fan.

Code 181 -Tether operation was attempted with unit speed too fast.

Code 182 -"RH WARNING LIGHTS" relay circuit open. Circuit is tested several times per second for an "open" circuit. This is done when commanded to be OFF.

Code 183 -"LH WARNING LIGHTS" relay circuit open. Circuit is tested several times per second for an "open" circuit. This is done when commanded to be OFF.

Code 184 -"RH WARNING LIGHTS" relay circuit is shorted. Circuit is tested several times per second for an "shorted" circuit. This is done when commanded to be ON.

Code 184 -"LH WARNING LIGHTS" relay circuit is shorted. Circuit is tested several times per second for an "shorted" circuit. This is done when commanded to be ON.
