Starting Fan and Units

causym CAUTION: If the machine should suddenly move forward or backward, serious injury or death to you or others can result. ALWAYS be sure no one is standing on or near the picker when operating.

IMPORTANT: Unit input slip clutches will slip during cold temperature start-up. To avoid damage to clutch jaws during initial start-up, allow sufficient warm-up time with units engaged at idle throttle. Gradually increase engine speed until units can be run at fast throttle and full hydro without clutch slippage.

1. Engage park brake switch.

2. Move throttle switch (A) to idle position (fan will not engage when switch is in middle or maximum throttle position).

3. Engage fan by moving fan/units switch (B) to center position.

4. Engage units by moving fan/units switch fully forward.

5. Move throttle switch to maximum throttle position.

6. With transmission lever (C) in neutral, slowly advance hydro lever (D) to start units.
