Every 50 Hours of Operation

To assist in proper service intervals, the digital tachometer displays the message "SEU1" after each 50 hours of engine operation. (See Clearing 50 Hour Service Code in Operator's Station section to reset digital tachometer to normal operation following service).

causym CAUTION: Row units are heavy and if they fall, serious injury or death to you or others can result. Place safety stops over unit lift cylinder rods when working under units.

1. Lubricate doffer column bearings through fitting (A) until grease comes out of lower doffer housing.

IMPORTANT: Premature wear of pivot joints can occur if not properly lubricated. Remove weight from pivot joints to allow lubricant to distribute thoroughly and avoid premature wear.

2. Lower row units onto suitable blocks to remove weight from pivot joints.

3. Lubricate fitting (A) on rod end of each unit lift cylinder.

4. Lubricate fitting (B) on each unit lift pivot.

NOTE: If operating in dusty conditions, fresh air filter should be cleaned daily.

5. Pull quick-release lever (A) on duct (B) next to left-hand side of cab.

6. Lift duct to clear platform floor, swing duct rearward and rest it on platform.

7. Loosen knob (C), remove cover (D) and dump attached dirt tray.

8. Remove wing nut (A) and pull out fresh air filter (B).

9. Push down on pre-cleaner (C) and pull it out from the top.

10. Check hole (D) in floor under pre-cleaner for debris. Clean as necessary.

11. Wash and dry pre-cleaner. Reinstall.

12. Clean or replace fresh air filter as necessary. (See Cleaning Cab Filters in Cab and Air Conditioning section for instructions to clean filter.)

IMPORTANT: Do not overtighten knob.

13. Install cover and tighten knob.

14. Check hydraulic pump drive belt (A) tension at location (B). Adjust if necessary. (See Checking And Adjusting Hydraulic Pump Drive Belt Tension in Chassis section).
