Operating ROW-TRAK

NOTE: (If error codes are generated, see ROW-TRAK Circuit Diagnostic Codes in this section).

General Operation:

2. Align machine with row, engage row units and begin harvesting. Engage ROW-TRAK by pushing the engage button (C) on the hydro lever. When going into auto mode, horn will beep once. When leaving auto mode, horn will beep twice. Engine must be at full engine speed. Ground speed must be below 11 kph (7 mph). Release steering wheel.

3. During operation of ROW-TRAK, tracking can be adjusted using offset adjust knob (D). Use of offset adjust knob will vary depending on whether adjusting system for straight or curved rows.

Offset Adjustment:

• STRAIGHT ROWS (A): Adjust offset adjust knob (B) to center machine on row. This will require minimal adjustment.

  NOTE: If offset adjust knob has been fully adjusted to either extreme, and machine is still not centered on row, center knob and perform a Field Learn. (See Field ROW-TRAK Learn in this section to perform field learn).

• CURVED ROWS (C): Offset adjust knob will need to be adjusted to match curve of rows. Adjustment is made while picking. If rows curve to right, turn offset adjust knob right (clockwise) (D) until machine tracks the curve of the rows. After turning machine at end of row, align machine with row, then turn offset adjust knob to left (counterclockwise) (E) until machine tracks the curve of the rows.

  NOTE: If offset adjust knob has been fully adjusted to either extreme, and machine is still not tracking the curve rows, perform a Static Learn. (See Field ROW-TRAK Learn in this section to perform field learn).

  If straight rows are available, it is preferable to perform a field learn on straight rows.

• CONTOURED ROWS (F): For contoured rows adjust offset adjust knob clockwise (right) and/or counterclockwise (left) to track with row.

4. To disengage the ROW-TRAK, slightly turn the steering wheel, push the engage button, turn ROW-TRAK on/off switch to OFF position, or turn off units.

NOTE: ROW-TRAK on/off switch must be turned to ON position to engage ROW-TRAK

5. To engage ROW-TRAK again, push ROW-TRAK engage button (A) on hydro lever.

The operator presence system will sound an audible alarm if the operator leaves the seat for more than 2 seconds, providing time for the operator to sit down. The system will shut down if operator does not sit down after 4 seconds. If ROW-TRAK system is shut off in this manner, the ROW-TRAK light (B) on overhead console will flash. Engage the system by pushing the engage button on hydro lever.
