Field ROW-TRAK Learn
Field ROW-TRAK Learn is to be performed on straight rows. This teaches the machine where the center of the row is and "straight ahead" position of the guide wheels, based on operator's steering of the machine. Field Learn is preferred over Static Learn method.
NOTE:
Factory or dealer installation includes a Static Learn for initial set up. Performing a Field Learn at the start of the season is recommended. THIS IS NOT a daily operation. (See Operating ROW-TRAK in this section for details on when to perform a Learn).
1.
With the fan/units (A) and ROW-TRAK on/off (B) switches turned "On", go to the beginning of the row to be harvested.
2.
Center the offset adjust knob (C).
3.
Sit squarely on the seat.
4.
Raise engine speed above 1800 rpm.
5.
Push and hold the Cal/Learn switch (D) in the calibrate position (push down on the upper half of the switch) until the ROW-TRAK starts beeping slowly (about 2 seconds) and ROW-TRAK indicator light begins to flash slowly.
6.
Begin harvesting.
7.
When you are in a row that will stay reasonably straight for 45 seconds, push the ROW-TRAK engage button (E) on the hydro lever. The horn will now beep faster, the ROW-TRAK light will flash faster, and tachometer will display values between "0" and "100".
8.
Continue to steer machine, maintaining the probe centered on the row for 45 seconds. The system is learning what probe position is required to center machine on the row.
9.
After 45 seconds the ROW-TRAK will sound two longer beeps. System is now in standby mode and the ROW-TRAK indicator light starts flashing.
