Reacting To A Plugged Row Unit

When an obstruction enters a row unit, the drum clutch will slip causing the monitor indicator light to glow and the alarm to sound. When this happens:

1. Stop the picker immediately.

2. Disengage fan/units switch (A).

3. Raise the units partially.

4. Back machine up 1-2 M (3-6 ft.).

5. Place transmission lever (B) and hydro lever (C) in neutral.

6. Place throttle switch (D) in idle position.

7. Engage park brake switch (not shown).

8. Completely lower units to the ground or onto unit safety stops.

9. Shut off engine and remove key.

10. Inspect units and remove obstruction. (If obstruction can not be easily removed, see Unplugging A Row Unit in this section).
