CAUTION:
Shut off engine, engage park brake switch and remove key BEFORE making fan belt adjustments.
IMPORTANT:
Belt damage can occur. Correct belt tension and proper belt guide adjustment MUST be maintained to avoid premature wear.
1.
Turn key "off" and remove from switch.
2.
Verify fan belt (A) deflection measures to specifications, using SERVICEGARD
belt tension gauge (B) (JDG950) or equivalent. If deflection is correct proceed to step 8.

3.
Remove idler sheave jam nut (C).
4.
Loosen idler sheave nut (D) and jam nut (E).
5.
Loosen or tighten belt as required using adjustment nut (F).
6.
Tighten idler sheave nut (D) to specification.
