Perform following procedures on a hard, flat, level surface-preferably a concrete slab-before entering field.
1.
Check middlebreaker operating depth.
2.
Check turnbuckle position.
3.
Check that correct number of shims are installed at wing gang attaching joint. (See SHIM INSTALLATION GUIDELINES FOR FIELD PERFORMANCE-FOLDING MACHINES ONLY in this section.)
4.
Fully charge hydraulic system.
Raise machine to transport position and hold SCV lever back for five seconds at top of cylinder stroke.
Repeat this three times.
This rephases hydraulic system.
5.
If machine is equipped with Hydraulic Wing Control -Optional Equipment:
Check wing fold hydraulic line attachment to tractor.
With wing frames unfolded, place tractor SCV (plumbed to wing fold cylinders) in FLOAT position.
Hydraulic Wing Control must be OFF for all adjustments.
|
6.
Level machine front to rear with tractor being used in field.
Turnbuckle in front hole.
Raise machine to transport position.
Check to be sure pivot link is against stop (welded on main frame) in transport position.
If not, turn crank clockwise until pivot link is against stop.
Adjust hitch turnbuckle until main frame is level front to rear when viewed from side.
7.
Check that main frame is level side-to-side (Folding machines ONLY.)
Measure distance between left-hand and right-hand axle spindle tubes and frame.
Distance between both axle spindle tubes and main frame should be equal within 6 mm (1/4 in.)
8.
Level wing frames to main frame.
Stand behind machine.
Adjust eyebolt on each wing depth control cylinder until gang tubes are level side-to-side across width of machine.
