Checking Depth Control Operation
Rigid Machines -cylinder lock-up removed. Folding Machines -hydraulic transport lock-up valve open. 1. Slowly, move SCV I tractor control lever/switch back and forth several times while observing for smooth operation of machine. Machine should raise when lever/switch is pulled back, and lower when lever/switch is pushed forward.2. If action is reversed, reverse hose connections in SCV I hydraulic coupler. 3. If machine does not raise smoothly, there may be air in system. Raise and lower machine several times. Folding Machines -hold SCV tractor control lever/switch in raise position for at least five seconds after machine stops raising. This rephases wing wheel hydraulic cylinders and bleeds trapped air from depth control circuit. |
CAUTION:
To prevent injury or death to you or others, ensure everyone is clear of machine when raising or lowering machine, while checking depth control operation.
