Setting Tractor SCV Lever/Switches for Hydraulic Wing Control Option

CAUTION: Keep all persons away from machine when raising or lowering wings.

Always locate machine on level ground when raising or lowering wings.

Never raise or lower wings when moving.

Serious injury or death to you or others can result from contact with electric lines. Use care when raising wings near electric lines to avoid contact.

IMPORTANT: Selective control valve must be set in fast speed position. Machine must unfold when correct operating lever is pushed forward. (See Attaching And Detaching section.

1. Place tractor transmission in PARK and set brakes, then start engine and PUSH WING fold cylinder tractor control lever (A) forward to unfold wings.

CAUTION: Unexpected movement of machine can cause serious injury or death to you or others. Keep people away from machine when placing tractor control lever in FLOAT position.

2. For John Deere 7000 Series Tractors:

Set detent mode selector knob to continuous detent (A).

Flip lever lock-out to left position (B). Push tractor SCV lever (C) all way forward to FLOAT position. Hydraulic Wing Control is disengaged.

To Engage Hydraulic Wing Control, flip lever lock-out to center position, push SCV lever forward to detent position.

IMPORTANT: Always reset SCV lever to correct position after tractor has been shut off. Tractor SCV lever will default to "neutral" position. Operating machine equipped with Hydraulic Wing Control in "neutral" position can result in wing fold cylinder rod damage.

Set SCV control panel as follows:

Select SCV II (A)

Set time detent knob (C) to continuous. A "C" (see arrow in photo below) will appear on panel.

Set flow (D) to rabbit.

Push SCV switch (B) all way forward and down, to lock in FLOAT position. A wavy line (E) will appear on control panel indicating FLOAT. This disengages Hydraulic Wing Control.

Push SCV switch forward to "click" and release, with time set on continuous, flow is continuous. Wavy line will no longer be on panel.

IMPORTANT: Always reset SCV switches to correct position after tractor has been shut off. Tractor SCV switches will default to "neutral" position. Operating machine equipped with Hydraulic Wing Control in "neutral" can result in wing fold cylinder rod damage.
