Adjusting Gang Angle-Rigid Only

NOTE: (See ADJUSTING GANG ANGLE in this section for PRIMARY and SECONDARY positioning of gangs and for hardware positions.)

Gangs may be set in PRIMARY or SECONDARY settings. PRIMARY setting is recommended for most soil conditions. Set gangs in SECONDARY setting for very light or sandy soil conditions.

1. Position Front and Rear Gangs:

For PRIMARY gang angle, position front gangs in front set of holes (A). Position rear gangs in rear angle holes (B) for PRIMARY gang angle.

For SECONDARY gang angle, position front gangs in rear set of holes (C). Position rear gangs in front set of gang angle holes (D) for SECONDARY gang angle. To change gang angle, raise machine approximately 12 mm (1/2 in.) above level ground.

causym CAUTION: To prevent death or injury to you or others keep clear of blades when loosening or removing gang attaching bolts.

IMPORTANT: To insure proper field operation of machine, front and rear gang angles must match. For example, if front gangs are set in PRIMARY position, rear gangs MUST also be set in PRIMARY position. Do NOT mix PRIMARY with SECONDARY gang angles for your machine.

2. To position front gangs:

Loosen gang attaching cap screw (A) and U-bolt (B) until there is approximately 3 mm (1/8 in.) clearance between gang tube and main frame.

Remove gang angling U-bolts (C). Move gang to front set of holes for PRIMARY gang angle or to rear set of holes for SECONDARY gang angle.

IMPORTANT: To insure proper field operation of machine, angle right-hand and left-hand gangs exactly alike.

Replace gang angling U-bolts and tighten attaching cap screws. Tighten gang attaching hardware to specification.
