Hitch Clevis-Straight Tractor Drawbar

causym CAUTION: Restrict use of clevis to 104 kw (140 PTO hp) maximum tractor, 38 mm (1-1/2 in.) drawbar thickness maximum, and a 32 mm (1-1/4 in.) drawbar pin diameter maximum. THIS PIN MUST BE RETAINED SO IT CANNOT SLIP OUT DURING USE OF MACHINE. A runaway machine could cause severe injury or death to you or others.

1. Remove existing clevis.

IMPORTANT: Clevis MUST BE installed in lower hole and spacer in upper hole to obtain proper clevis-to-drawbar angle.

2. Install clevis (A) in BOTTOM HOLE with 1 x 7-1/2 in. cap screw, flat washer, and lock nut, reversing safety chain bracket (B). (Rigid machines use 1 x 7 in. cap screws.)

3. Install 1 x 7-1/2 in. top cap screw with spacer (C), flat washer, and lock nut. (Rigid machines use 1 x 7 in. cap screw with spacer (C).)

4. Rotate clevis up and down to ensure that clevis does not interfere with hitch plate (spacer should stop rotation).

5. Tighten nuts to specification.
