To replace maintenance free bearings, do following:

1. Use a drift against inside edge of bearing (A) and press out one bearing.

2. Press out spacer bushing (B) and other bearing (A).

3. Prior to assembly, coat bore ID at both ends with light film of lubricant.

4. With spacer (B) installed first, press bearings (A) from each end until flanges bottom out on bushing.

NOTE: Tool must press on both inner and outer surface of bearings at same time. Use driver No.JDG943.

5. Dimension of (C) plus (D) should equal plus or minus 1.5 mm (0.06 in.).

IMPORTANT: ALWAYS use new lock nut of same grade. Failure to tighten lock nut to specification WILL result in wheel pivot bearing failure.

Lock Nut -Torque 678 N·m (500 lb-ft)
