Adjusting Harrow Tines

causym CAUTION: Never attempt to adjust level of harrow unless implement is engaged with ground at desired operating depth as serious injury can result from falling tines.

When transporting, lock center frame tines in transport position to avoid dragging.

1. TINE ANGLE ADJUSTMENT: Needed to set harrow aggressiveness or residue flow capability.

Pull pin (A) and set tine angle to desired position by inserting into one of four adjustment holes (B).

2. Remove cap screw and nut (C) and set bar to desired pitch by inserting cap screw into one of six adjustment holes (D).

NOTE: To obtain desired results it may be necessary to also adjust tine down-pressure adjustment screw.

To maintain harrow level side-to-side, turn all height-adjusting screws same amount of turns.

4. HARROW DOWN PRESSURE: Promotes residue flow and even chemical incorporation.

Lower harrows to ground.

5. Remove pin (A) and stop block (B).

6. Turn height-adjusting screw (C) counter-clockwise to lower and clockwise to raise harrow.

7. Harrows are recommended to be set at 51 mm (2 in.) below bottom of standards.

8. Reinsert stop block and pin.
