Reduce speed in rocky conditions.

Standards mislocated.

See John Deere dealer.

All wheel modules do not retract against cylinder stops.

Cylinder rods not long enough on lower command.

Increase time detent knob until cylinders always retract against cylinder stops.

Symptom Problem Solution

Depth control does not function properly.

IMPORTANT: Be sure all air is bled from depth control system. (See BLEEDING HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS in Service section.)

Single Point Depth Control Machine -Machine will not raise or lower.

Open hydraulic cylinder transport lock-up valve.

Single Point Depth Control Machine -Single Point Depth Control stop inconsistent/malfunctions.

Single Point Depth Control tube/bracket not assembled correctly.

All Machines -Machine operating at different depths.

Check depth control settings. (See SETTING DEPTH CONTROL or OPERATING DEPTH CONTROL in Operating Machine section.)

(See RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WORKING HARD SOILS in this section.)

All Machines -Cylinder leakage.

Check for leakage. (See Service section.)

Repair or replace cylinders. See John Deere dealer.

All Machines -Insufficient tractor hydraulic pressure.

Check tractor hydraulic pressure. Use correct size cylinders for tractor pressure.

All Machines -Hydraulic hoses not connected properly.

Reconnect properly.

ACCUDEPTH Machine -Loss of display and operation of machine.

Check for dirty or loose 9-pin connection at back of tractor.

Verify GREENSTAR ™ harness correctly connected.

GREENSTAR is a trademark of Deere & Company

OUO6050,0000451 -19-23JUN06-3/7

Symptom Problem Solution

Check for short in GREENSTAR harness.

All Machines -Machine raises/lowers slowly.

Increase flow rate of SCV I at setup panel.

All Machines -Machine sags when in folded position, after sitting idle for period of time.

Check for leaking cylinders. Replace seals.

Fully raise machine.

Install transport cylinder locks.

Disconnect from leaky tractor SCV.

Outer wing wheels on 5-section machine with 3.6 m (12 ft) main frame do not RETRACT when machine is folded.

Single Point Depth Control Machine -No power to wing wheel activation switch.

Verify that 7-pin warning light connector is properly connected.

Check for cut or damaged wire to switch.

Check for dirty or loose 7-pin connector at back of tractor and front of implement.

Single Point Depth Control Machine -No power to wing wheel activator valves.

Ensure that switch is activated when outer wing is folded over 180°. If a click is heard when switch lever is activated completely, switch was not activated.

With machine in unfolded transport position, 7-pin connector connected and tractor running, activate switch lever completely. If outer wings drop, valves are activated correctly. If out wings remain unchanged, wheel retraction valves are not being energized.

Single Point Depth Control Machine -Wing wheel switch not activated.

Adjust switch arm closer to hinge.

Single Point Depth Control Machine -No power to wing wheel activation switch.

Verify that 7-pin warning light connector is properly connected.

Check for cut or damaged wire to switch.

Check for dirty or loose 7-pin connector at back of tractor and in front of implement.
