Checking Depth Control for Leakage-Machine Without Single Point Depth Control

1. Fully extend all depth control cylinders. Hold tractor control Lever all way back for 30 seconds.

2. Lower machine to approximately 102 mm (4 in.) above ground.

3. Stop tractor. Pull depth control hoses out of tractor breakaway couplers.

4. (See your John Deere dealer if hose ends leak.) If hose ends do not leak, measure and record exposed length of cylinder rod (A).

5. Let machine stand for an hour.

6. Re-measure and record rod length as in Step 4.

(See your John Deere dealer for repair if hose ends do not leak and cylinder has retracted 6 mm (1/4 in.) or more.)
