Every 100 Hours of Operation

1. Lubricate front and rear universal joints (A) of unit drive shafts.

2. Lubricate universal joints and shafts on unit drive cross shafts (B).

3. Lubricate fittings (C) on unit support frame rollers, (2 per unit).

4. Lubricate fitting (A) on hydraulic/hydrostatic driveshaft.

NOTE: Number of lube fittings on axle couplers will depend on number of row units and spacing.

causym CAUTION: To avoid injury or death to you or others from loss of machine control, do not pump excess grease ( more than two pumps ) into drive couplers nearest brake drums. Over-greasing these couplers can result in grease entering brake drums and reducing braking effectiveness.

5. Lubricate fittings (A) on final drive axle couplers.

6. Lubricate final drive external oil seals:

NOTE: Final drive grease fitting is located on edge of final drive next to inside rim of front tires.

a. Locate final drive lubrication fitting (A).

b. Lubricate final drive outer axle bearing using JDMJ13E4 Severe-Duty (SD) Polyurea Grease UNTIL grease comes out of external oil seal (B).

c. Verify grease has come out around the external oil seal completely by wiping around seal with clean rag.

d. Repeat procedure for other side.

7. Lubricate fitting (B) on final drive outer axle bearings.

8. Lubricate twelve grease fittings on guide axle.

  • Kingpins (A), two grease fittings on each side of machine
  • Steering cylinder ends (B), grease fitting on each side of machine
  • Guide axle pivot (D), two grease fittings

9. Tighten guide axle knee bolts (C) (six on each side of machine) and kingpin screws to specification.

Specification

Guide Axle Knee Bolts -Torque 610 N·m  (450 lb-ft)
Kingpin Screws -Torque 610 N m (450 lb-ft)

10. Tighten drive wheel cap screws to specification.

Specification

Drive Wheel Cap Screws -Torque 610 N·m  (450 lb-ft)

11. Tighten non-powered rear guide axle wheel bolts to specification.

Specification

Non-Powered Guide Wheel Cap Screws -Torque 312 N·m  (230 lb-ft)

12. Tighten power rear guide axle wheel bolts to specification.

Specification

Power Rear Guide Axle Wheel Bolts -Torque 610 N·m  (450 lb-ft)

IMPORTANT: Maintain correct tire pressure to prevent damage to tires. Verify tires are inflated to specifications.

13. Check tires for proper inflation.
