After Ten Hours

1. Check drive wheel, guide wheel and power rear guide wheel (if equipped) lug bolt torques. Tighten to specification.

Specification

Drive Wheels -Torque 610 N·m  (450 lb-ft)
Non-Powered Guide Wheels -Torque 312 N·m (230 lb-ft)
Power Rear Axle Wheels -Torque 610 N·m  (450 lb-ft)
2. If torque fails to stabilize after first ten hours, tighten to above values every ten hours. After torque stabilizes, tighten every 100 hours.

3. Check basket door conveyor chains (A) and basket conveyor chains (B) for proper tension. (See ADJUSTING DOOR CHAIN TENSION and ADJUSTING FLOOR CHAIN TENSION in Basket section.)

4. Check cotton fan drive belt (C) tension. Adjust if necessary. (See ADJUSTING COTTON FAN BELT AND GUIDES in Air System section for proper tension and adjustment procedure.)

5. Check hydraulic pump drive belt (D) tension. Adjust if necessary. (See CHECKING AND ADJUSTING HYDRAULIC PUMP DRIVE BELT TENSION in Chassis section for proper tension and adjustment procedure.)

6. Tighten guide axle knee cap screws (A) to specification.

7. Raise basket and engage safety stops. Inspect engine and fan hoods (A) for trash. Clean as necessary to prevent buildup.

8. Disengage safety stops, lower basket and open basket door.

9. Inspect brush bar (A) for damaged or missing brushes and linkage for bent or binding members.

10. Inspect for missing or damaged rubber flaps (B) on right and left sides of floor.

11. Inspect finger grates (A) for bent or damaged fingers.

12. Inspect compactor augers (B) for excessive play in gear train.

13. Inspect door sensors (C) for binding or damaged parts.

14. Check front and rear door pivot M16 cap screws (A) and front and rear basket pivot M24 nuts (B) for proper torque. Tighten to specification as necessary.

Door Pivot Cap Screws, M16 -Torque 305 N·m  (225 lb-ft)
M24 Basket Pivot Nut -Torque 813 N·m  (600 lb-ft)
M24 Basket Pivot Jam Nut -Torque 407 N·m (300 lb-ft)

NOTE: If torque fails to stabilize after the first ten hours, tighten to above values every ten hours. After torque stabilizes, tighten every 100 hours.
