Operating Inspection Bypass System

causym CAUTION: Serious injury or death can result if you or others become entangled or are drawn into moving parts of unit. Keep away from all moving parts to prevent injury and death. Always keep inspection bypass cord away from moving parts on row units.

Verify park brake switch is engaged. The unexpected movement of the machine or rotation of units can cause serious injury or death to you or others. If the inspection bypass system does not operate exactly as described below, see your John Deere dealer.

1. Remove tether switch (A) from storage position in unit number 2 or number 3. Stand clear of units. Never operate the inspection bypass while standing on top of row units. Keep thumb free of tether switch.

2. After ensuring solid footing and clearance from moving parts, proceed with bypass operation by depressing tether switch. Slow unit rotation will begin immediately, and continue until tether switch is released.

NOTE: Unit rotation will stop, all six row units lights will be illuminated, and a 181E error code will be displayed on the corner post tachometer if the hydro lever is moved beyond the front of the decal range.

To clear error code, move hydro lever back to an acceptable location within the decal range and release unit tether switch. Normal operation will resume when unit tether switch is depressed.
