ROW-TRAK Guidance System Information

The ROW-TRAK guidance system allows the operator hands-off steering of the machine by aligning the row units with rows and then activating a button on the hydro lever.

At the end of the row, turning steering wheel will deactivate system and retain manual control of the machine. After system has been deactivated, the operator must repeat row alignment and button activation procedures to activate ROW-TRAK system.

(See OPERATING ROW-TRAK in this section for detailed description of operation).

If the ROW-TRAK system is installed at factory or by the dealer, all set up programming and diagnostics are performed at the factory or dealer prior to machine delivery.

Channels 1 and 2 modify ROW-TRAK response of the machine. Channel 5 establishes an automatic valve set up that records the level of supply voltage where the steering valve starts to turn the guide tires. Channels 3, 4, and 6-10 are used for diagnosing problems on

the machine. (See PERFORMANCE CHANNELS-1 AND 2, PERFORM ROW-TRAK AUTOMATIC VALVE BIASING-CHANNEL 5, and DIAGNOSTIC CHANNELS-3, 4, and DIAGNOSTIC CHANNEL 6-10 in this section for descriptive information.)

NOTE: Channels 1-10 are only used during diagnosing and correcting ROW-TRAK performance problems. (See ROW-TRAK in Troubleshooting section for details.)
