Static ROW-TRAK Learn
Static ROW-TRAK Learn is to be used where straight rows are not available. Static Learn teaches the machine what is the center of the row, based on one position of the front probe and one position of the guide wheels.
NOTE:
Factory or dealer installation includes a Static Learn for initial set up. Performing a Field Learn at the start of the season is recommended. THIS IS NOT a daily operation. (See OPERATING ROW-TRAK in this section for details on when to perform a Learn.)
Perform a diagnostic check of the machine when it is in a stationary position to prepare the machine to harvest curved rows when the Field Learn CANNOT be performed on straight rows. Perform the following steps:
1.
Drive machine in a straight line to orient guide tires for procedure. Stop machine on a level surface. Place the transmission lever in neutral, and engage park brake switch.
2.
Lower units to harvesting position.
3.
Verify guide wheels are pointing straight forward.
4.
Center front probe sensor on unit.
5.
With fan/units switch (A) engaged and ROW-TRAK on/off switch (B) turned "ON", raise the engine speed above 1800 rpm.
6.
Center the offset adjust knob (C).
7.
Push and hold the cal/learn switch (D) in calibrate position (push down on the upper half of the switch) until the ROW-TRAK starts beeping slowly (about 2 seconds) and the ROW-TRAK indicator light begins to flash slowly.
