Adjusting Row Unit Drive Belts

Recommended Service Interval
Check Adjustment And Condition, Replace As Necessary Annually

 

Using a SERVICEGARD ™ belt tension gauge (JDG950) or equivalent, check belt for proper tension specification.

Specification

Belt Tension -Deflection 8 mm (0.315 in.)
Per Belt -Force 75-107 N (17-24 lb)

NOTE: If belts do not have equal tension, the highest tension must be within specification. The tension difference between the right and left side should be no more than 25%.

To adjust belt tension:

1. Loosen jam nut (A).

2. Turn adjusting nut (B) clockwise to tighten or counterclockwise to loosen belt.

3. Tighten jam nut.
