Adjust Air Ducts

NOTE: All ducts adjust using the same procedure.

Adjust ducts as necessary to obtain proper clearance of hood assembly and for optimal cotton flow into the basket.

IMPORTANT: Damage to ducts and hood can occur from improper adjustment. After adjustments have been made, slowly raise and lower ducts to observe and verify proper clearance.

1. With ducts in the raised position, verify 25 mm (1.0 in.) or more clearance (A and B) exists between outer ducts and front and side of hood.

2. Verify remaining inner ducts have 38 mm (1.5 in.) between ducts and front of hood.

NOTE: It may be necessary to loosen adjoining ducts to obtain necessary clearance.

3. To adjust clearance between duct and side of hood; loosen set screws (C) on collars (D), slide duct collars on duct support tube as necessary. Tighten set screws.

IMPORTANT: Whenever diagonal supports are adjusted, duct stop arms (E) must be adjusted to align directly on top of duct support pipe.

4. To adjust clearance between duct and front of hood; loosen four cap screws (F) on forward facing diagonal supports, move duct supports as necessary. Tighten cap screws.

5. Verify clearance on remaining ducts.

6. Slowly lower and raise ducts to verify clearance and proper adjustment of duct stop arms.
