Inspect Service Brake Components-Annually

causym CAUTION: Service brake system operates at high pressure. To avoid the risk of injury to yourself or bystanders, DO NOT attempt to BLEED the hydraulic components in this system. The hydraulic brake components in this system should only be serviced by your John Deere dealer.

1. Remove spring pins (A) and pins (B).

2. Remove brake pads (C) from between rotor and caliper.

3. Inspect brake pad material (A) for deep grooves, uneven wear, and minimum thickness.

Specification

Brake Pad Material -Minimum Thickness On Each Pad 3 mm (0.125 in.)

4. Inspect rotor face (B) for deep grooves and uneven wear.

5. Inspect rotor for minimum thickness (C).

Specification

Rotor -Thickness 11 mm (0.440 in.)

6. (See your John Deere dealer for replacement components as necessary.) Re-assemble brakes in reverse order of removal.
