Reduce Travel Speed

causym CAUTION: To avoid possible serious injury or death to you or others, always use seat belt properly.

IMPORTANT: Premature brake wear and damage can occur if primary braking is accomplished using the brake pedal, instead of the multifunction control handle. Always pull the multifunction control handle back before using the brake pedal.

1. To slow machine, pull back on multifunction control handle (A) for primary braking.

NOTE: Braking will occur from hydro system.

2. For more aggressive (faster) braking press down on brake pedal (B) after multifunction control handle has been pulled back. Be prepared for a rapid decrease in speed. Secondary braking stops the machine very quickly.

NOTE: Dynamic (secondary) braking will now occur from rear caliper brakes.

causym CAUTION: Pressing emergency brake switch will cause machine to suddenly stop and can cause serious injury or death. Wear seat belt. Be prepared for rapid decrease in speed. Only use emergency brake switch in an emergency braking situation.

IMPORTANT: If emergency brake is pressed while machine is moving, park brakes will need to be tested to verify proper operation. (See Verify Proper Operation Of Park Brakes in this section.)

3. Emergency brake switch does not need to be engaged when parking machine. Park brakes are automatically applied when multifunction control handle is placed in the "PARK" position and the SPRAYSTAR system reads "0" mph for 0.5 seconds or the engine is shut "OFF".

If primary and/or secondary braking fails, or emergency braking situation occurs, put the multifunction control handle in PARK position, press brake pedal, and press emergency braking switch (C). Prepare for a very rapid decrease in speed.

NOTE: Dynamic (secondary) braking will now occur from rear caliper brakes and internal rear hub spring-applied brakes.
