Fertilizer Feed Shaft Speed

Speed is determined by drive sprocket combinations AND the gear case. There are two different speeds available with the sprockets and 21 speeds per drive per row spacing available with the gear case.

SLOW-SPEED (Drive 1 on charts) and FAST-SPEED (Drive 2 on charts) are determined by 15 and 27-tooth sprocket assemblies. Drive 1 uses the small-top (A) and large-bottom sprockets; Drive 2 uses the large-top (B) and small-bottom sprockets.

Use the SLOW-SPEED drive whenever possible for maximum efficiency and to minimize wear. Use the FAST-SPEED drive for drilling larger quantities.
