Reversing Double-Disk Blades to Maintain Offset
Double-disk blades are offset 6 mm (1/4 in.) when blades are new to cut through residue. The leading blade will wear faster than the trailing blade and the offset will diminish. When the offset is 3 mm (1/8 in.) or less, the left-hand and right-hand blades can be switched to restore the offset. See REPLACING AND ADJUSTING DOUBLE-DISK BLADES ON ALUMINUM BOOTS.
