Preparing Drill for Storage
CAUTION:
Be careful when using diesel fuel so that is does not ignite or serious injury or death to you or others can result. Use only in well ventilated areas away from any sparks and flames.
IMPORTANT:
Do not allow diesel fuel (or any other petroleum product) to come in contact with the rubber tubes as it will cause deterioration.
1.
Locate a flat level surface to store machine, then follow safe detaching procedures outlined in the Attaching and Detaching section.
2.
Store in transport position with lift cylinder clevis in position.
3.
If setting machine on ground, place a wood board under openers so that openers do not penetrate the ground. Lower openers and remove all pressure from hydraulic system.
4.
If using stored lock-up straps (A), raise opener and install lock-up straps. Remove all pressure from hydraulic system.
5.
Open the feed cups to their largest or wide open setting.
6.
Wash the machine with a high pressure washer; move the shifter back and forth while washing.
7.
Paint all bare metal and rust spots. Remove rubber tubes.
