Checking Grain Feeds

causym CAUTION: Be careful when using diesel fuel so that it does not ignite causing serious injury or death to you or others. Use only in well ventilated areas away from any sparks or flames.

1. Raise machine so drive wheel is not touching the ground.

2. Turn feed shafts in direction (bold arrow) feeds normally turn by turning drive wheel. If shaft turns hard, loosen moving parts with diesel fuel. Check rolling torque of feed shaft. See Service section.

IMPORTANT: Do not allow diesel fuel (or any other petroleum product) to contact rubber tubes as it causes deterioration.

3. Turn shafts daily, before adding seed. If treated seed is used, turn shaft whenever machine has been standing for an hour or longer.
