Understanding Rate Charts
IMPORTANT:
Rates shown in charts are only to be used as a guide. (See CHECKING QUANTITIES DRILLED-METHOD 1 and CHECKING QUANTITIES DRILLED-METHOD 2 in Operating the Machine section.)

Charts are based on machines with STANDARD-SPEED drive. For DOUBLE-SPEED drive, the drive will sow at double the rates shown. For HALF-SPEED drive, the machine will sow at one-half the rates shown.

Charts are based on machines with 7.60 x 15 in. double-rib tires.

Row spacing can be changed by using feed stops. See GRAIN FEED STOP-FLUTED FEEDS in Attachments section.

Some seeds such as soybeans and peas vary widely in size. For such seed types, at a given pound per acre rate, the number of seeds planted per acre will vary according to the size of seed.
