Adjusting Metering Valves-Tractors With Electro/Hydraulic SCV Controls

NOTE: Tractor hydraulic oil flow must be at least 45 L/min (12 gpm) for proper operation of the machine.

NOTE: For non John Deere tractors, see dealer for hook-up.

Press appropriate touch control switch (A) I through V to program each SCV. Adjust flow rate with flow control knob (B). Set detent time with time detent knob (C).

When raising or lowering openers, the tractor hydraulic pump will continue to operate after the raise/lower cylinders have stopped moving. This is normal and not harmful. However, when not seeding, shut the SCV off by moving lever slightly forward or rearward after the lever has returned to NEUTRAL.
