Check Doffer Column Adjustments
A properly positioned doffer will have the following features:

Doffer pads parallel to top of spindles when spindles are fully under pads.

The upper housing positioned so doffer pads DO NOT gouge top spindle nuts and collars.

Spindles "lightly touch" doffer pads as they enter, and clear as they leave.
Recheck doffer height to make sure doffer pads "lightly touch" spindles at leading edge of pad.
