In Case Of Fire

causym CAUTION: Avoid possible injury or death from fire or smoke from burning machine or material. Determine extent and intensity of the fire before attempting to put it out. Do not attempt to stamp out the fire, use fire extinguisher and auxiliary water hose as appropriate.

Immediately contact your local fire department.

1. DO NOT PANIC. Stop machine immediately and disengage fan and row units and turn off engine at the first sign of trouble. This may be a scorched smell, an unusual sound, or the sight of smoke or flame.

NOTE: Be familiar with auxiliary water system location (A) and performance, and fire extinguisher locations on the machine. Follow directions on the extinguisher label before operating them.

2. Check harvester for hot spots, starting with the accumulator, picking units, then the engine and chassis. After determining location and which type of fire you have, extinguish the fire using the correct procedure and fire extinguisher(s). Always spray extinguisher solution at the base of the fire. (See Procedure To Extinguish Fires In Engine Compartment and Procedure To Extinguish Fires In Accumulator and Module Builder.)

3. Once fire has been extinguished empty accumulator, wrap and eject module.
