Adjusting Cotton Fan Belts

CAUTION: Shut off engine, engage park brake switch and remove key BEFORE making fan belt adjustments.

IMPORTANT: Belt damage can occur. Correct belt tension MUST be maintained to avoid premature wear.

2. To check belt adjustment, remove side inspection door (A) on both machine sides. If end of tension indicator (F) is above or below washer (G) adjustment is necessary. Open lower plant shield (B) to obtain access to both fan adjusters.

3. To adjust cotton fan belts, loosen jam nut (D).

4. Tighten or loosen adjusting nut (E) until end of tension indicator (F) is within the THICKNESS of the washer (G).

5. Tighten jam nut (D).
